Drinks were excellent (although at a premium as it is Time Square). Went in when the place was very busy, and was still able to get drinks fairly quickly as the store is very organized and well staffed. The displays were definitely unique and interesting for a tea shop but the aroma of tea were strong and undeniably that of high quality
Got their Gardenia1 and Matcha0. The Matcha 0 tasted GREAT!!! However, the 25 minute WAIT after ordering is simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. I was just casually visiting for a quick drink because I was super thirsty, and I had no idea it would take so long. The line wasn’t even that long (less than 3 mins to order) so I had no idea it would take so long. They could’ve at least done a better job in informing about the long estimated time. Still, I really can’t complain about the quality of the tea itself!
I normally visit the other HeyTea stores around NYC, heard that there was a HeyTea TEALAB open so I have to come try it. There was a long wait but it’s definitely worth the wait! I got the Gongfu 3 and the Gardenia 3. Personally preferred the Gongfu 3. The pistachio cloud and the meringue tasted so good together. Could upgrade a bit on cleanliness and speed. Overall the drinks were amazing! I would come back again.
Coconut Mango Boom was so delicious — sweet, fragrant, and really felt like eating mango sticky rice. Cloud Coconut Blue was perfectly balanced; the matcha and coconut blended so well together. Plus, the cashier was super sweet and gave amazing service. Loved her!!
This location seemed a bit less busy than the Chinatown one. Tried the mango coconut grapefruit tea which was way too sweet for me although it was the least amount of sugar they could have (no 0% added sugar option). Tasted like HK sweet soups in a cup. The fruits are naturally sweet so preferably don't need anymore processed sugar added.
